Press Release

PHILADELPHIA, PA, Monday, May 14, 2018 – FIS Group, a manager of U.S. and global developed, emerging and frontier markets equity portfolio strategies, is pleased to announce that Robert Morier has joined the firm as a senior vice president of sales and marketing. He will oversee FIS Group’s marketing and sales efforts, and will report directly to Tina Byles Williams, CEO and CIO of FIS Group.

“We are delighted to welcome Mr. Morier to the team,” says Ms. Byles Williams. “He brings over 18 years of experience in sales and marketing strategies for global and non-U.S. equity and debt investment products, which serves to enhance our continued commitment to meet and exceed our client’s performance objectives.”

Mr. Morier joins FIS Group from Global Evolution USA, where as managing director he directed the launch of its emerging and frontier sovereign debt strategies for North American institutions. He held previous directorships overseeing institutional investments at ClearBridge Investments, Indus Capital and Artio Global Investors. He also served as a vice president of institutional relationship management at Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Morier has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Vermont. He is an advisory board member for the University of Vermont Grossman School of Business, and has been a Toigo Foundation mentor since 2009.

The hiring of Mr. Morier comes as FIS Group sees continued growth and success in its global and non-U.S. strategy offerings. Over the past 10 years, the firm has developed a niche expertise in less efficient investment strategies, such as emerging, frontier markets and non-US small capitalization. Its non-US small capitalization strategy was recently recognized as a “3 Star Top Gun” performer by PSN among its peers in the EAFE category.
